Darkness crawls into my chamber yet again
As it does, I can't help but to feel the corners of my lips
curve upwards.

As I await his presence
I know not who he is,
I know not what he wants,
But nonetheless,
I wait.

The Shadow formed from the dark
molded together to make a man.
Silently
He stands.

Like a soldier he stays unmoving
The eternal post he is forced to guard.
And I, the precious item he guards with his afterlife.
I stare until my eyes can no longer stare
And sleep calls me like a siren song
Ever so softly

Day breaks and light casts away the shadows
And my otherworldly guest.
But I am not disappointed, or saddened.
No.
Like nights before, I shall wait
To see my guardian angel of the night
arise again, from the black of my chamber.

Not to scare ya'll but...yes this is all 100% true. I do have a ghost who guards me in my room at night. (Well, I feel his presence in the daytime too, but I can only see him at night.) He doesn't talk either. So I don't know why he stands there. (I'm assuming its a he.) He's only touched me once. And that was because I was tired and he was helping me put on clothes and tuck me in. And I know that seems far fetched. But I was really tired that night and I woke up at like 4 in the morning. I changed into my night clothes. (I was in what I wore to school) my body sorta stays limp when I'm tired like how I was. I felt someone's hand hold me up and make it easier to slip my pants on. I climbed into bed and pulled myself under the covers and I felt the covers move up more after I let it go.

My friend and my theory: I was a princess in a past life, and this was my noble guardian who still guards me to this day. XD Like a said; 'theory'.

But yeah, he's a good guy I guess. Ever since he came, I've had no bad dreams. (Oddly, he came after I had awoken from a bad dream of angry and evil spirits coming after me.)
